EcoDisc DVD Benefits
The EcoDisc DVD offers all of the advantages of standard DVDs, engineered with its impact to the environment in mind. Not only is the EcoDisc thinner, lighter and more flexible, but it has the same capacity, playability, as well as optical and electrical properties of a standard DVD. The completely recyclable EcoDisc DVD is also produced with:
- 50% less polycarbonate
- 52 % less CO2 emissions
- 50% less energy
- Smaller carbon footprint than standard DVDs
- No toxic bonder
Eco-Friendly DVD Packaging and Printing
Our eco-friendly DVD packaging products adhere to the current standard practices for green packaging and printing include:
- Recycled Board stock is 100% recycled
- All of our inks are vegetable-based and are produced from renewable resources. This makes printed products easier to de-ink when they ultimately get recycled
- 100% recycled digi trays are available upon request
- FSC certified paper stock is used when non-recycled paper is not. All new fiber content comes from well-managed forest operations that practice responsible logging, protect high-value conservation areas and are responsible to local communities.
- 100% of paper and board waste is recycled
- Recycled paper stocks with 50% or more recycled content, 25% of which is post-consumer waste
- Ink and fountain solutions are collected and disposed of in a safe controlled manner
- Varnishes - whether matte, gloss or satin - are water-based and bio-degradable
- Solutions used to clean presses contain the lowest amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) available
